BioTeri Evans is a freelance journalist with more than a decade of experience in trade and consumer magazines, online media and broadcast news. She has been published on topics ranging from business trends to beauty, health, and fitness.
Teri's fitness knowledge extends beyond simply covering the topic as a journalist. She also is an AFAA-certified personal training instructor and currently trains clients on a part-time basis at Serious Strength (
www.seriousstrength.com), a unique personal training facility on Manhattan's Upper West Side.
Most recently, Teri served as the executive editor of Home Channel News, a leading trade magazine focused on the business of retailing in the home improvement industry. During her five-year tenure, Teri managed the day-to-day operations of the publication, which included editing the stories of freelance and staff writers. She conceptualized, assigned and edited special issues, as well as contributed numerous articles and editorials.
Prior to her print experience, Teri spent several years in major-market television news, serving in various capacities, from news writer to on-air reporter. As an idea generator and collaborative editor, Teri has a consistent record of achievement and has earned awards in both print and broadcast journalism. She holds a master's degree from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism and a bachelor's degree in communications/broadcast news from the University of Florida.
